Processing case details: 316L medical equipment flange
The customer required the processing of a medical-grade 316L stainless steel flange, with the following core requirements:

Size: outer diameter 120mm, thickness 12mm, with 8 evenly distributed through holes

Tolerance: hole diameter ±0.01mm, position deviation ≤±0.03mm

Surface requirements: no knife marks, no burrs, can be used for sterile equipment assembly

Processing difficulties:
316L material is soft and tough, and it is very easy to "flush" and stick to the knife during cutting, resulting in hole deformation or out-of-tolerance;

Multiple pieces of the same batch need to be clamped, and the position repeatability of each part needs to be controlled;

Surface treatment must meet medical cleanliness standards, and there must be no oxidation spots or processing injuries.

Our solution

Use Swiss original high-cobalt alloy coated tools, combined with low-speed and high-torque strategies to ensure the sharpness of the blade;

Quick clamping is achieved through vacuum fixtures and surface indentations are avoided;

After cutting, anhydrous alcohol is used for cleaning, and the surface is electrolytically polished to ensure mirror cleanliness.

The project delivered more than 1,200 pieces from evaluation, trial production to mass production, with a batch qualification rate of 99.8%.
