Processing case: The problem of flatness control of the bracket inside the optical equipment
We have undertaken a precision aluminum alloy bracket parts project for a German optical instrument company. The requirements of this part are as follows:
Material: Aluminum alloy 6061-T6
Size: 210mm × 180mm × 12mm
The large central window is slotted, and the four sides contain multiple mounting holes and stop slots
The overall flatness of the bottom surface is required to be within 0.01mm to ensure that it fits perfectly with the lower shell
Processing difficulties:
Since the part is a thin plate structure, the middle part lacks rigidity after slotting, and micro-deformation, edge collapse and warping are very likely to occur during the cutting process. Traditional processing methods cannot guarantee the final flatness.
Our solution
Use vacuum adsorption fixture to fix, increase the contact surface to avoid warping, and reduce fixture indentation;
Segmented cutting, use equal height contour cutting path to avoid uneven stress caused by one-sided cutting;
During the processing, after each area is completed, the Z axis is corrected and compensated by online plane measurement in the middle of the program;
After processing, use the platform + micrometer to re-check the full-size flatness, and attach the inspection report;
Finally, the batch yield of the precision CNC parts exceeded 99.8%, and the delivery was successfully completed, helping the customer pass the final whole machine assembly test.
