Difficulties and challenges:
High requirements for the appearance of parts, double-color injection is required, ABS+TPE material combination
The mold needs to include a turntable structure to achieve double-material injection
The design of the pin and exhaust system is complex and requires repeated testing and adjustment
Solution:
In this Plastic injection mold tooling project, we use HASCO standard mold frame combined with rotary mold core technology, and add a combination of inclined top + insert in the TPE encapsulation area to ensure the soft glue injection molding accuracy and sealing fit. Through Moldflow analysis to optimize the gate position and exhaust system, the problems of uneven filling and bubbles are solved.
