Processing case sharing: dense-tooth power heat sink module
A customer commissioned the development of an extruded aluminum heatsink for high-power inverters. Its structure is sophisticated and complex, and the processing difficulty is relatively high:

Material: 6063-T5 aluminum alloy

Size: 290mm × 125mm × 45mm

Features: There are 65 dense-tooth plates on the top, with a thickness of 1.1mm, and the tooth pitch and flatness must be kept consistent

Processing requirements: Mill the guide grooves on both sides, process 12 deep holes and positioning pin holes, require positioning tolerance ±0.01mm, and the surface must be anodized black with a film thickness of 12μm

 

The teeth are dense, the heat dissipation fins are extremely thin, and deformation is very easy to occur during processing;

The CNC fixture cannot be clamped conventionally, and a custom adsorption fixture is required for pressure-free clamping;

The hole position and outer contour are formed in one step, and multi-axis linkage is required to complete complex path programming;

The surface requirements are extremely high, and any knife marks and bumps must be avoided.

Finally, we successfully delivered the first batch of samples through multi-point vacuum clamping, layered processing strategy, and anodizing treatment, and received high recognition from customers. At present, this extruded aluminum heatsink has been stably mass-produced and delivered over 10,000 pieces.
